Applications are now available for the first-ever Texas State Cup featuring U-9 through U18/U19 boys and girls teams.

Open to all US Club Soccer member teams in the state, the event will run over a three-day period from April 23-25, 2021. The state cup will feature two levels of competition, Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group.

Hosted by U90C Sports, the 2021 Texas State Cup will directly qualify Super Group division champions from U-13 to U-18/U-19 age groups to US Club Soccer’s National Cup XX Finals, taking place July 16-20, at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO. Super Group division finalists and Premier Group division winners will advance to US Club Soccer’s National Cup XX South Central Regionals (June 11-14 in Tulsa, OK).

All teams that register for the Texas State Cup will be waitlisted until the close of registration on March 28. The registration fee must be received before the registration deadline in order for a team to be accepted.  Once the registration deadline has closed, U90C will notify all teams by Wednesday, March 31 of their status (accepted, waitlisted or declined).           

LaLiga Integration:

LaLiga North America has been named the official Methodology & Scouting provider of the 2021 Texas State Cup, strengthening the preexisting technical partnership with US Club Soccer. Through this integration, LaLiga experts will hold coaching masterclasses at each event, while also providing player talent identification for the competing teams.

The LaLiga Methodology masterclasses, hosted by US Club Soccer, will outline the philosophy and methods used across LaLiga to train, develop and form some of the world’s top players. Player talent identification aims to provide a legitimate and established selection process for youth soccer players in the United States who aspire to become professionals.

In order to participate, teams must hold valid US Club Soccer passcards at the time of the event. Teams currently not carded with US Club Soccer may do so by contacting Membership Service Representative Wade Breaux at wbreaux@usclubsoccer.org or call (979) 575-1070.
