Applications are now available to the 2020-21 Virginia State Cup, US Club Soccer’s state championship competition for 11-U through 19-U boys and girls teams.

Open to all US Club Soccer-registered teams in Virginia, the Virginia State Cup is presented by the NPL’s Virginia Premier League. Matches for the 2020-21 Virginia State Cup will be held from Dec. 4, 2020 through Feb. 22, 2021. Interested teams have until Dec. 4, 2020 to apply.

All 2020-21 Virginia State Cup champions in the 13-U through 19-U age groups advance to the National Cup XX Finals in Commerce City, Colo., from July 16-20, 2021. Information on US Club Soccer’s 20th anniversary of its cup-based championship series, the National Cup, will be announced soon at usclubsoccer.org/nationalcup.

 Age group seeding and schedules will be announced in early December. The overall schedule of matches is as follows:

• Play-in matches: Dec. 4, 2020 – Jan. 17, 2021
• Quarterfinal matches: Jan. 23 – Jan. 31, 2021
• Semifinal matches: Feb. 6 – Feb. 14, 2021
• Finals matches: Feb. 20 – Feb. 28, 2021

The playing format is single elimination knock-out tournament play with championship games: 9v9 for 11-U and 12-U teams and 11v11 for 13-U through 19-U teams.

The 2020-21 Virginia State Cup entry fee is $225 for VPSL teams, and $275 for non-VPSL teams.
